Position Overview

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is looking for a Temporary Red Seal Millwright to work at the Copper Mountain Mine, Princeton, BC. The position follows a 7x7 schedule with day and night shifts and is NOT a fly‑in‑fly‑out role.

• Perform mechanical preventive maintenance and repairs on mining equipment in shop and field locations.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions in mobile mining equipment, determining safe and efficient repair methods.
• Work safely with multiple trades in a production setting.
• Carry out other duties related to the Millwright role as required or assigned by the department head.

• Red Seal Millwright or Heavy‑Duty Equipment Technician certification is an asset.
• At least one year of industrial experience, preferably in mining.
• Welding ticket considered an asset.
• Valid Class 5/7N driver’s license with access to personal transportation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a positive, diverse environment.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
• Solid mechanical ability and aptitude.
• Self‑motivated, able to work alone or with minimal supervision.
• Must meet pre‑employment testing requirements.

• Frequent exposure to noise, dust, vibrations, and chemicals in a heavy industrial environment.
• Work may involve hot and cold temperatures, moisture, uneven surfaces, confined spaces, heights, ladder and stair use.
• Exposure to all weather conditions while working outdoors and operating a light vehicle, including winter driving.
• Regular lifting and moving of items and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Requires clean‑shaven appearance.

$56.87 per hour.
