Position Information
Position Title: Plant Technician

- Assist with basic repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, and unclogging drains.
- Move, assemble, and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
- Support senior technicians during inspections, installations, and emergency repairs.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Document tasks completed and report issues to supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE during all tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED – Required
- Vocational training in building maintenance or general trades – Preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in general maintenance or facilities support
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied conditions
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Interest in growing into a skilled trade or technician role
- Other duties may be assigned.
The employee is required to use hand to finger and hand and arm movements, stand, walk, sit, reach, lift, and move objects, and perform tasks in varied environmental conditions. Physical demands include occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, stair climbing, and exposure to moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work EnvironmentWork is usually performed in moderate noise environments, both indoors and outdoors. The employee may occasionally work off‑site and in varying weather conditions.
