- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO), OSHA, MSDS, EPA, and HAZMAT requirements.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance on production machines and facility equipment.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose and repair equipment including motors, transformers, PLCs, VFDs, compressors, chillers, boilers, relays, switches, position‑sensing devices, and printed circuit boards.
- Troubleshoot and repair 115V and 480V electrical equipment.
- Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, block diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Run conduit and pull wire for new machines and equipment installations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and provide recommendations to improve the PM program.
- Monitor and document equipment readings, settings, meters, gauges, and observations as required.
- Use common electrical and mechanical tools including multimeters, amp probes, meggers, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Perform basic machinist duties, plumbing maintenance, and carpentry functions.
- Perform basic welding and cutting tasks including acetylene torch, plasma, stick welding, and brazing.
- Secure and complete required department work order documentation.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work areas and general surroundings.
- Work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with production staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in an engineering discipline or industrial maintenance/electrician certificate from an accredited trade school, or 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC principles, and industrial controls.
