Operator In Training

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a small group of hard-working individuals in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains to provide water and sewer services to residents, businesses, and ski resorts near Donner Summit. This entry‑level position is a great chance for someone to gain exposure to all aspects of domestic water treatment and distribution, and wastewater collection and treatment.

This position is well-suited for someone looking to obtain their Operator‑In‑Training (OIT) certificate and start a career in water and wastewater treatment and operations.

• Provide water and sewer services to residents, businesses, and ski resorts near Donner Summit.
• Gain exposure to all aspects of domestic water treatment and distribution.
• Participate in wastewater collection and treatment processes.

• Entry‑level position in the Operator series; typically little or no directly related work experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Obtain a wastewater operator‑in‑training certificate within three months.
