Resort Maintenance Facilities Technician- TEBC

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated, team-oriented candidate to join our Facilities Technician team at The Tahoe Edgelake Beach Club in Tahoe Vista, CA.

Tuesdays-Saturdays.

Work Hours:

8:30 AM–5:00 PM. This position requires weekend availability and potential on-call availability. Robust benefits packages available.

Supports facilities technician team with knowledge of all aspects of facilities maintenance. Enhances the property work environment. Responds and attends to guest repair requests. Communicates with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Performs preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspects tools, equipment, or machines. Carries equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identifies, locates, and operates all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.

Maintains maintenance inventory and requisitions parts and supplies as needed. Communicates each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Demonstrates knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building. Performs surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough clean-up of the painting or repair area.

Tests, troubleshoots, and performs basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, lighting, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and other guest room items. Programs TVs and performs general housekeeping and technician-related inventory duties. Uses the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance. Performs interior and exterior landscaping repairs and external landscaping sprinklers. Displays basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.

Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager; completes safety training and certifications. Follows all company policies and procedures, maintains professional appearance, protects company assets, and maintains confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcomes and acknowledges guests according to company standards, anticipates and addresses service needs, assists individuals with disabilities, and thanks guests with genuine appreciation. Communicates clearly and professionally, prepares and reviews written documents, and answers telephones with proper etiquette.

Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others and supports the team to reach common goals. Complies with quality assurance standards. Performs other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors.

• Addresses guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
• Welcomes and acknowledges every guest with a smile and verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
• Actively listens and responds to guest questions, concerns, and requests.
• Responds to guest complaints promptly and, if unable to remedy, informs the appropriate people for follow-up; cleans all technician areas as directed.
• Conserves energy and reports ideas to management.
• Maintains maintenance inventory and requisitions parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicates daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved programs and standards.
• Reads, logs, and interprets readings from meters, gauges, and other devices per inspection procedures.
• Assists in data collection for preventive maintenance inspection records.
• Demonstrates proficiency in areas such as air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and general building.
