Harnessing Electrical Technician III
Location:

Schedule:

Pay Rate: starts at $52 and up to $54 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Harnessing Electrical Technician to support electrical assembly, harness fabrication, and integration activities for advanced aerospace systems. This role is responsible for building, installing, routing, and troubleshooting electrical harnesses and hardware used in spacecraft and ground support equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical assemblies, cable fabrication, connector termination, and interpreting engineering documentation in a production or prototype environment.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Assembly & Harness Fabrication
+ Fabricate, assemble, and install electrical harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering specifications.
+ Prepare wires and cables through cutting, stripping, labeling, and terminating.
+ Perform connector termination, crimping, soldering (if applicable), and cable management.
+ Route, secure, and install wiring harnesses within complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.
+ Install electrical hardware and support integration activities for spacecraft and ground support equipment.
Testing & Troubleshooting
+ Perform continuity checks and basic electrical testing to verify assembly quality.
+ Troubleshoot electrical installation, routing, connector, and fit-up issues during assembly and integration.
+ Identify defects and support corrective actions to ensure hardware meets quality standards.
+ Assist engineering teams during prototype builds, testing, and production activities.
Documentation & Quality
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
+ Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
+ Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while following company safety policies.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
Required Qualifications
+
Experience with electrical harness fabrication, installation, and routing.
+ Hands-on experience with wire preparation, crimping, connector termination, and cable management.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
+ Experience integrating electrical and electronic hardware into assemblies.
+ Proven troubleshooting skills related to electrical installation, routing, and fit-up issues.
+ Familiarity with standard electrical assembly tools, crimp tools, multimeters, continuity testers, and other basic test equipment.
+ Experience supporting prototype, test, or production hardware.
+ Basic electrical testing and troubleshooting experience.
+ Previous experience working in manufacturing, production, assembly, or integration environments.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working with vacuum chamber systems.
+ Experience supporting furnace reactor systems.
+ Aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or other high-reliability production experience.
+ IPC wiring or cable assembly certifications are a plus.
Ideal Background
Candidates with experience as Electrical Technician, Harness Technician, Wire Harness Technician, Avionics Technician, Electrical Assembler, Integration Technician, Electronics Technician, Cable Assembly Technician, or Aerospace Electrical Technician are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics manufacturing, or other precision assembly environments is highly preferred.
