As we continue to grow throughout Southern California, we're seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to join our field operations team.
About the RoleAs the Lead Electrician, you'll serve as the on-site electrical expert for residential solar and battery storage installations. Working alongside an apprentice electrician, you'll oversee all electrical aspects of each installation—from service panel upgrades and conduit runs to inverter commissioning and final inspections. This is a hands-on field leadership role where you'll ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with California electrical codes and utility requirements.
Responsibilities- Lead the electrical installation of residential solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Mentor and train apprentice electricians on best practices and code compliance.
- Install and commission inverters, disconnects, service panel upgrades, rapid shutdown devices, and energy storage systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and permit plans.
- Ensure compliance with the California Electrical Code (CEC), NEC, OSHA regulations, and local AHJ requirements.
- Lead electrical inspections and resolve inspector comments.
- Coordinate with project management and permitting teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- 2+ years of residential solar installation experience.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience with residential service upgrades and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience passing inspections with California AHJs.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Battery storage installation experience (Tesla, Solar Edge, Enphase, FranklinWH, etc.).
- NABCEP Certification.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Familiarity with Southern California utility interconnection requirements.
