• Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Measure, cut and fasten underlay and under padding
• Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors
• Prepare and install hardwood floors
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
• Prepare floors for installations
• Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants

• Education:
  
  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience:
  
  2 years to less than 3 years
• Work setting:
  Commercial, Residential, Various locations
• Transportation/travel information:
  Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle, Willing to travel
• Work conditions and physical capabilities:
  Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Own tools/equipment:
  Tools, Safety equipment/gear
• Personal suitability:
  Client focus, Judgement, Organized
