Location: Bridgeport
US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and operate various building systems and equipment including pipe fitting, plumbing, heating, and refrigeration;
Install, modify, and repair high-pressure piping systems and related equipment such as steam heating, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, circulating pumps, and radiators;
Read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and sketches to layout piping systems;
Inspect and maintain utility, supply, and disposal systems such as sewage, water, oil, and gas distribution;
Test electric, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems with specialized equipment;
Perform routing maintenance on small electric motors, pumps, valves, and related components;
Replace components like valve plates, seals, gaskets, and bearings; adjust expansion valves; perform temporary pipe repairs;
Monitor temperature sensing points and adjust controls to meet local requirements;
Operate air handling equipment from central or local switches
