Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of Agile Methodologies, including Scrum or XP.
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns, refactoring techniques, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), CI/CD, Git.
  • Experience working with Linux and open-source technologies.
  • AWS Cloud experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality software using the latest Java technologies and frameworks (Java 11+, Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful services, Microservices).
  • Utilize modern engineering practices and methodologies (Agile, CI/CD, TDD, design patterns).
  • Prepare and deploy applications in production AWS environments.
  • Troubleshoot, respond to, and resolve issues in live systems with a focus on stability and reliability.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects independently; collaborate on larger, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Build and maintain automated tests, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure software quality.
  • Apply clean code principles, refactoring techniques, and best-in-class architectural patterns.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and Dev Ops teams to deliver seamless and scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to a culture aligned with organizational values, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, primarily with Java and related ecosystems.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of Agile Methodologies, including Scrum or XP.
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns, refactoring techniques, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), CI/CD, Git.
  • Experience working with Linux and open-source technologies.
  • AWS Cloud experience highly preferred
  • Financial services background—especially in mortgages or mortgage-backed securities, is a strong plus.
  • AI engineering exposure, including use of AI coding tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Amazon Q, or similar) and/or building AI-powered features, is preferred.
