ResponsibilitiesTik Tok Shop Sorting Center is dedicated to maximizing sorting efficiency and standardizing operations across our national distribution centers. By leveraging data-driven insights and rigorous quality monitoring, we ensure every parcel moves faster and reaches our customers sooner. The Outbound Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all outbound and shipping activities, ensuring packages are accurately processed, loaded, and dispatched on time.
This role owns outbound execution, dock operations, carrier coordination, and on time departure performance while maintaining operational accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Lead daily outbound operations, including package consolidation, palletization, labeling, loading, and shipment release activities.
- Ensure shipments are loaded accurately according to routing plans, transportation schedules, and carrier requirements to minimize misroutes and service failures.
- Monitor and drive key operational metrics, including on time departure (OTD), trailer utilization, loading productivity, and shipment accuracy.
- Coordinate dock scheduling and loading activities with line haul providers, parcel carriers, and transportation partners to ensure efficient trailer turnaround and dock utilization.
- Oversee carrier handoff processes and verify shipment documentation, manifests, and system records accurately match physical shipments.
- Investigate and resolve outbound exceptions, shipment discrepancies, loading errors, and transportation delays.
- Manage daily cutoff schedules and prioritize operational activities to ensure all shipments depart within established service level requirements.
- Partner closely with Inbound, Sortation, Transportation, and Planning teams to support smooth end to end network execution.
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline associates and Team Leads while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation requirements, and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or above.
- 3+ years of experience in outbound operations, shipping, transportation, warehouse operations, or third party logistics (3PL) environments.
- Experience coordinating carrier operations, dock activities, and outbound shipment execution in a fast paced operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipment processing, loading operations, routing compliance, and transportation service requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet critical deadlines, and perform effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience working with parcel carriers, transportation providers, or line haul operations.
- Familiarity with carrier compliance requirements and shipment handoff processes for parcel and freight transportation networks.
- Experience monitoring and improving operational metrics such as OTD, trailer utilization, shipment accuracy, and dock productivity.
- Experience using WMS, TMS, shipping management systems, or operational reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and cross functional collaboration skills.
- Experience leading diverse teams in high volume fulfillment, distribution, or logistics environments.
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $97,200 - $151,200 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
