Location: March Air Force Base
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) to perform technical and administrative analytical work of planning, development, and implementation of Airlift Missions, transportation requirements to assure safe, expeditious domestic and international transportation of high level officials and their staff to meet critical, sensitive diplomatic, military, and domestic requirements. Develops and executes monthly aircraft mission schedules and training reservist in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
DUTIES:
* Manages air transportation for both CONUS and OCONUS cargo and/or passenger movement.
* Responsible for accomplishing all aspects of aircrew and aircraft support for assigned missions.
* Supports assigned missions by reviewing various databases and other sources of weather, itinerary, equipment and passenger information.
* Develops quarterly flying schedule from annual flying requirements. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join
* Incumbent must obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance
* Males must be registered for Selective Service, see (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).
* Total salary varies depending on location of position
* This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
* Shift work and emergency overtime may be required

* Direct Deposit:

* This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position, the incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements.
* Incumbent may be required to fly in commercial or military aircraft to perform temporary/permanent duty assignments.
* The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.
* Incumbent may be required to work an uncommon tour of duty. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA)

* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions and Individual Occupational Requirements for Transportation Operations Series 2150.

Undergraduate and Graduate
Education:
Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position. For Marine Transportation Specialist positions, education obtained in a Federal, State, or other accredited Merchant Marine Academy is qualifying. Or Specialized
Experience:
For positions other than Marine Transportation, experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations.
