Job Description

We are immediately hiring an Operations Supervisor to join the Ryder team in Etna, OH.

• $60,000‑$65,000 per year salary + benefits and PTO

  Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

The Operations Supervisor reports to the Manager and is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and overseeing day‑to‑day logistics operations, coaching staff, recommending process improvements, and ensuring team performance meets business objectives.

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations.
• Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes to meet company standards and customer service specifications.
• Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics.
• Accountable for site key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations.
• Meet regularly with team members, both collectively and individually, to monitor progress, coach, counsel, and recognize achievements.
• Cultivate team spirit through diversity and inclusion initiatives and promote cooperation through continuous process improvement.
• Carry out performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases when appropriate.
• Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
• Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
• Implement health & safety, security initiatives, and adherence to company policies.
• Provide orientation and necessary information and tools to employees and Lead Hands.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year or more in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
• Zero to one year of direct supervisory or leadership experience required.

Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000 per year, paid as a salaried position. Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and long‑term incentive plans based on level and type.
