Material Handler II

The Material Handler II is responsible for the safe receiving, inspection, movement, tracking, storage, and shipment of custom-made servers and components in a regulated warehouse environment. This role processes product and documentation accurately, supports production operations, and may assist in training other material handlers and supporting the team lead as needed. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to quality and safety standards, and effective use of MRP/ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform safe receiving, inspection, movement, tracking, storage, and shipment of custom-made servers and components in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area while performing all material handling activities.
  • Process product documentation accurately, implement appropriate corrective actions when needed, and use the MRP system to enter and retrieve accurate data.
  • Maintain product inventory by receiving, identifying, labeling, and storing product within the warehouse area according to documented processes and procedures.
  • Ensure timely shipment of product to meet shipping deadlines, and provide regular updates and communication to internal facility staff.
  • Adhere to ISO procedures, Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Lean principles, and other applicable regulatory and quality standards.
  • Work with safety, efficiency, and accuracy as constant priorities, ensuring quality and safety standards are continuously followed.
  • Support the production team as needed by providing materials, components, and inventory-related assistance.
  • Report events and activities outside normal parameters to the appropriate contact or team lead and assist in resolving issues within operational and safety guidelines.
  • Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for workflow and process improvements within the warehouse and material handling operations.
  • Perform warehouse processes such as picking, put-away, pulling, packaging, shipping, and receiving with high attention to detail.
  • Handle delicate and expensive products carefully, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and protection during storage and shipment.

Essential

Skills:

  • At least 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in material handling, including processing and documentation.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of warehousing experience in a regulated environment such as FDA, ISO, or GMP.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse processes including picking, pulling, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
  • Experience with inventory control, including identifying, labeling, and storing products in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to accurately process product documentation and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Proficiency using MRP or ERP systems for data entry and retrieval; experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail when handling delicate and high-value products.
  • Commitment to working safely and maintaining compliance with ISO, GMP, MPI, and Lean principles.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area.
  • Effective communication skills to update internal staff and report issues to leadership.
  • Capability to support production operations through timely material handling and inventory management.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Any warehousing experience in FDA, ISO, GDP, or Lean environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and regulated supply chain processes is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a small warehouse environment within a larger campus or facility.
  • Comfort working with custom-made servers, components, or other delicate technical products.
  • Ability to provide feedback on workflow and process improvements.
  • Willingness to assist in training other material handlers and supporting team leads when needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
