The Role
The Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming products to ensure quality, proper handling, and timely entry into inventory. This role involves unloading shipments, verifying product conditions in coordination with Quality Control, and maintaining clear communication with the receiving team to address any discrepancies or concerns. The Receiver safely operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks, organizes and slots products within inventory, and supports overall warehouse operations.
This position also upholds strict adherence to food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company safety policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Additional responsibilities may include occasional product transport between facilities and supporting general warehouse or yard operations as business needs require.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receiving Operations- Receive and check incoming products from trucks or loading docks.
- Properly identify received products and ensure quality of product is verified by QC tech.
- Communicate with the supervising team when products are being received to discuss any product concerns at the time of offloading and before receiving them into the inventory system.
- Offload products from trucks using equipment such as sit-down forklift or e-pallet jack.
- Slot products into inventory and notify management of any discrepancies using email.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area always.
- Adhering to GMP’s, follows company safety policies and procedures.
- All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager, supervisor or key personnel if they have any compromise to food safety or food quality.
- Occasional driving to deliver or pick up products from other coolers/fiber yards as determined by sales and management.
As assigned or necessary in the warehouse or in the yard as it pertains to business needs.
Qualifications DesiredMinimum Qualifications
- 1-year riding pallet jack and stand-up forklift experience
- Inventory Control experience
- Must be able to identify produce quality, count and have basic math skills.
- Experience with Warehouse inventory systems including RF scanners.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision and multi-task.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
- The ability to work well with others by building cooperative relationships with other departments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)
- Must have 50 lbs lift capacity and work in a refrigerated warehouse.
- Must be able to work overtime when business requires, i.e. busy seasons, vacation coverage, etc.
- Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklift and power jack equipment.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/ English

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
