Warehouse Lead – Meat/Food Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations in a food manufacturing/meat processing environment. The Warehouse Lead will help coordinate employees, ensure products and materials are handled safely and efficiently, and maintain compliance with company policies and food safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities and assigned employees.
• Monitor receiving, storage, staging, and movement of food products and materials.
• Ensure products are properly labeled, organized, and stored according to company procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Coordinate loading and unloading of shipments.
• Ensure employees follow GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and work performance.
• Train and assist employees with proper warehouse procedures and equipment.
• Operate or oversee the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate with supervisors and other departments regarding inventory, orders, production needs, and staffing.
• Report any safety, quality, product, or inventory issues to management.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA and food safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse experience required; lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing, meat processing, cold storage, or a similar environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated or cold environment.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle products as required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of GMPs and food safety practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move products and materials as required.
• Ability to work in cold/refrigerated environments.
• Must be able to safely perform warehouse duties while following all required PPE and safety procedures.
