The City of Callaway is preparing to carry out the HUGH THOMAS NORTH EXTENSION CONSTRUCTION PROJECT CDBG-DR No: M0164 constructionprojectthrough the use of Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds. In the implementation of this project the following job types may be available Cement Mason/Concrete Finisher, Electrician, Ironworker, Laborer (Asphalt, includes Raker, Shoveler, Spreader, and Distributor), Laborer (Common or General), Laborer (Mason Tender Cement/Concrete), Laborer (Pipelayer), Laborer (Grade Checker) Operator (Backhoe, Excavator, Track hoe, Bobcat, Skid Steer, Skid Loader, Broom, Broom/Sweeper, Bulldozer, Crane, Grader/Blade, Loader, Mechanic, Milling Machine, Piledriver, Roller, Scraper, Screed, Tractor), Painter, Traffic Control Person, Truck Driver (Dump Truck, Flatbed Truck, Lowboy Truck, Water Truck, Distributor) and Welders.
All job openings will be posted under "Callaway Jobs Announcement" at Callaway City Hall, 6601 East Hwy 22 Callaway, Fl 32404 and at the primary construction site. To the greatest extent feasible, employment and training positions will be made available to qualified persons who permanently reside in the City of Callaway, Florida. Persons qualified for the jobs listed should register by contacting Ashley Robyck, City Clerk
Additionally, to the greatest extent feasible, construction contracts and sub-contracts may be awarded to businesses located in and owned by persons residing in Bay County. All procurements will be made on a competitive basis. The names of businesses and job seekers who respond to this notice will be given to the prime contractor for utilization in subcontractor solicitation and job offerings.
