Per diem CRNA opportunity with Midwest Eye Center S.C., established in 1974 in Calumet City, IL, just 35 minutes south of Chicago.

Site Details:
Established 1974 in Calumet City, Midwest Eye Center S.C. delivers the highest quality testing and surgical treatment of eye diseases. The site has grown to be the largest eye practice in the area, and perhaps all of Illinois. Today patients can visit four different locations featuring cutting-edge technology. Team includes medical staff delivering services here hold teaching and research positions in the local Chicagoland area universities.

Location:

Calumet City, IL, USA.

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Leadership:
John Potts, CRNA, MS – Vice President of Advanced Practice Anesthesia for NAPA’s Midwest Region (IN, IL, MI). He joined NAPA in 2016 and has extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia, anesthesia for bariatric procedures, and ambulatory anesthesia. He earned a BSN in 1995 and completed CRNA training in 1999. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists.

This is a CRNA-only location.

Calumet City, IL: A short 35-minute drive south of Chicago. This community offers a vibrant history and diverse population with access to parks, golf courses, and various amenities. Area attractions include Calumet Memorial Park, Green Lake Family Aquatic Center, and Wolf Lake. Nearby schools and colleges include South Suburban College, Calumet College of St. Joseph, Franklin University, Caroline Sibley Elementary School, Wentworth Junior High School, and Thornton Fractional North High School.
