Key Responsibilities
  • Produce sales gains by providing customer service.
  • Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
  • Provide documented appraisal of an associate’s sales performance; give feedback on strengths and areas of opportunity, aligned with Company Objectives.
  • Adhere to visual guidelines: proper merchandising, signage, store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Company Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
  • Protect Company assets within LIDS Retail policy guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing store schedules to provide proper coverage and meet wage‑control guidelines.
  • Follow all policies to manage inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and product counts.
  • Document and record keeping per LIDS Retail policies and applicable laws.
  • Open and close the store according to Operations P&P Manual procedures.
  • Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in LIDS training programs, set sales and task goals, and follow up regularly.
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
  • Encourage store associates’ compliance with company policies, safeguarding inventory, funds, and property.
  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.
  • Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relative experience.
  • Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear, professional verbal communication.
  • Proficiency operating a computer and related software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb a ladder and work overhead.
  • Stand up to 100% of the work time.
  • Work unsupervised.
Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills

Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Exact compensation may vary by skill, experience, and location. Assistant Store Manager PT are also available for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.

Salary and Benefits

For Illinois-based roles:
Annual pay ranges may fall between $29,120 – $58,656. You may also be offered a bonus, and other benefits.
