Job Description:

Immersive Concepts is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage our company's procurement process and supply chain activities. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role requires strong negotiation skills, extreme attention to details, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and supplier selection processes.
  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to solicit bids from suppliers.
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as production, finance, and operations, to align procurement activities with business needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant procurement regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor market conditions and industry trends to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Implement risk management strategies to minimize potential disruptions.
  • Knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices, and industry regulations.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, RMA’s or other supplier performance concerns.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • 5+ years of strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers or attend industry events.
  • Standard office environment with regular working hours; however, some flexibility may be needed depending on project deadlines or supplier needs.
