Overview
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!
The hourly rate for this position is $33.50 per hour.
The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm.
Eaton’s Beltsville manufacturing facility is home to over 400 passionate and creative team members. Our products power hundreds of military and commercial aircraft platforms, with a focus on improved reliability, weight reduction, and fuel efficiency. Components and products developed here are used in aircraft such as the Mars Rover, support the protection of historic sites, and provide passenger comfort on flight.
Responsibilities- Perform intermediate break‑fix and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment with minimal supervision, including troubleshooting, dismantling, repairing or replacing defective parts, adjusting functional parts and control instruments, and testing equipment performance.
- Construct and alter physical facilities to accommodate changes or improvements.
- Independently perform routine industrial maintenance on facilities.
- Assist other technicians on more complex maintenance issues.
- Provide support to Technician I’s and Apprentices as directed by leadership.
- Perform electrical power work under the direction of an electrician, including running wires and cables, installing fixtures, and conducting testing and diagnostics.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance, or an associate's degree with a technical focus from an accredited institution plus at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
- Applicants must be U.S. persons subject to ITAR; no immigration sponsorship or relocation benefit is offered.
- Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of the work location will be considered, except Active‑Duty Military Service members who are exempt from the geographical limitation.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machining maintenance.
- Complies with national and local safety and environmental standards, including ISO 14001 and applicable regional initiatives.
- Understanding of precision gauging instruments.
- Ability to work independently with other team members.
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire eight to twelve hour shift with or without accommodation.
- Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
- Experience working daily with lubricants and solvents.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems and ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
