** Job Description
**** Join Teledyne Imaging Sensors as a Buyer!
**** What You'll Do:
*** Purchase materials, equipment, supplies and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures.
* Negotiate, award and administer procurement actions for commercial and Government-funded requirements.
* Supports compliance with DFARS requirements, CPSR readiness, strategic small business reporting, and documentation of procurement packages in accordance with defense acquisition regulations.
* Manages diverse procurement activities including capital equipment, software licenses, BPAs, services, maintenance, repairs, construction, chemicals, electronics, machined parts, semiconductors, and hardware built to Teledyne/Government specifications.
* Provides program, planning, and proposal support, maintaining supplier status updates and frequently utilizing ERP systems;
Deltek Costpoint experience a plus.
** What You Need:*
* * Familiarity with purchasing concepts and must be comfortable negotiating price and other terms and conditions
* Ability to work in a high volume/pressure environment with demanding deadlines and make complex business decision with minimal supervision.
* Ability to interface with vendors and internal customers with patience, diplomacy and tact
* Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
* Basic computer proficiency using Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business desired with 5-10 years of experience.
