As the Senior Sourcing Professional for our Load & Haul Sourcing function in Camarillo, you will ensure strategic sourcing for assigned direct and indirect material spend, while building strong supplier partnerships that support quality, delivery performance, and total cost goals. In close collaboration with R&D, engineering, supplier quality, and purchasing teams in a global environment you will help deliver the best value to the business and shape sourcing strategies that support long‑term success.
WhatYou’ll Do (and Why It’s Important)
In this role, you’ll develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, support new supplier and R&D projects, and work cross‑functionally to strengthen supply continuity, performance, and value creation. Here’s a snapshot of your key responsibilities:
- Cross‑Functional Leadership: Lead supplier performance and sourcing activities in partnership with engineering, quality, production, and buying teams to support business and operational goals.
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with division priorities, strengthen the supplier base, and support long‑term business performance.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships, oversee supplier selection and negotiations, and help ensure supplier capacity, quality, and delivery performance.
- Project & New Supplier Development: Lead sourcing projects, support new supplier implementation, and contribute sourcing expertise in R&D projects, including target cost and supplier involvement.
- Governance & Market Insight: Manage contracts, monitor supplier markets and trends, and ensure adherence to Sandvik purchasing policies, code of conduct, EHS, and sustainability targets.
- Strategic Sourcing Expertise: Strong knowledge of strategic purchasing, supplier relationship management, negotiations, and total cost of ownership principles.
- Business & Technical Acumen: Understanding of financing fundamentals, agreement law, risk analysis, supplier audits, and manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D processes.
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field is a plus. Additional training, education, or experience in sales or strategic procurement is valued.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, communication, collaboration, and change management skills, with fluency in English. - Experience: At least 3‑5 years of experience in strategic purchasing or sourcing, with experience in mechanical engineering, production, purchasing, or R&D environments.
