Summary

A commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to run field operations on ground-up and commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone who can lead fast-paced jobs, coordinate multiple trades, maintain safety, and deliver quality work from start to finish. The position requires strong field leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage large teams on active construction sites.

• Report to the General Superintendent and manage all field activities for assigned projects
• Oversee subcontractors, field foremen, installers, and labor crews
• Share leadership responsibilities with the Project Manager, including mentoring Project Engineers
• Schedule and coordinate field personnel across multiple trades (25 to 100+ depending on project size)
• Verify scope, means, and methods for all phases of construction
• Ensure all permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements are in place and completed
• Maintain efficient jobsite workflow, logistics, and daily planning
• Enforce jobsite safety, conduct safety walks, and document safety compliance
• Perform ongoing quality control and quality assurance checks
• Lead site meetings and coordinate with ownership, architects, and consultants
• Maintain daily reports, field documentation, and progress tracking in Procore or similar systems

• Minimum 7 years of experience managing ground-up, commercial TI, retail, creative office, or multifamily construction
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, sequencing, and field coordination
• Ability to manage large trade crews and multiple subcontractors
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage day-to-day field operations
• Experience mentoring project engineers and field staff
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Experience with BIM, Sure Trak, and Procore preferred
