Position: Vice President, South Central Coast Regional Consortium

Overview

The Director of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating the Regional Collaboration and Coordination Grant that serves eight community colleges and associated high schools. The position oversees partnership development, fiscal accountability, curriculum alignment, academic integrity, and program implementation across the regional network.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, supervise, administer, and evaluate activities related to the Regional Collaboration and Coordination Grant.
  • Coordinate regional initiatives and manage partnerships among community colleges and high schools.
  • Ensure fiscal accountability and develop emerging industry curriculum across regional partners.
  • Oversee curriculum alignment and ensure academic integrity and compliance of all career education and instructional programs.
  • Support implementation of programs across participating colleges.
  • Provide academic leadership and vision to strengthen and implement career, technical, occupational, and transfer programs.
  • Lead the planning, development, and evaluation of instructional programs through shared governance processes.
  • Support externally funded initiatives, including regional and state grants, ensuring integration with instructional programs and alignment with curriculum.
  • Participate in regional coordination efforts through the SCCRC governance structure.
  • Assist in budget development and management, integrating multiple funding sources.
  • Ensure compliance with Education Code, Title 5, accreditation standards, district policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Oversee curriculum development, alignment, and review in partnership with vice presidents, deans, and faculty.
  • Coordinate and prepare accurate instructional reports required by federal, state, district, and college entities.
  • Use institutional and regional data to support program review, enrollment management, and continuous improvement.
  • Support integration of work‑based learning and career pathways into instructional programs.
  • Assist in recruitment, selection, development, and evaluation of faculty and staff.
  • Promote the effective use of instructional technologies and data systems.
  • Develop and support dual enrollment, articulation, and matriculation efforts.
  • Build strategic partnerships with K‑12 school districts and community stakeholders.
  • Engage with faculty organizations and participatory governance bodies.
  • Serve on college and district committees, management councils, and regional consortia.
  • Establish partnerships with business, industry, and community stakeholders to inform program development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging instructional practices, technologies, and workforce trends.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned employees, set goals, coach for improvement, and take disciplinary action when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, and ethnic communities.
  • Demonstrate cultural humility, sensitivity, and equity‑mindedness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a master’s degree.
  • One year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrative assignment.
Salary Range

$12,750.92 – $17,086.83 monthly. With a doctorate add $6,576.48 annually ($548.04 per month).
