Under the general direction of a dean, an instructor will provide comprehensive classroom instruction to students from diverse backgrounds to facilitate the attainment of their academic or vocational objectives. The position is full time, tenure‑track, beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.

• Provide academic instruction through lecture, lab, or performance courses; assess and develop students’ cognitive abilities, communication skills, and higher‑order thinking skills.
• Advise students on programs of study, transfer options, learning resources, and study skills; refer them to support services as appropriate.
• Observe and evaluate student performance against course objectives and learning outcomes; provide timely feedback.
• Plan and organize instruction aligned with department, college, and district goals; implement the student performance objectives listed on the official course outline.
• Maintain current, accurate records of course enrollment, attendance, student progress, curriculum, and outcomes; submit data and reports timely.
• Evaluate and select instructional materials (textbooks, software, tools) in collaboration with discipline faculty; order materials according to campus bookstore procedure.
• Participate in curriculum and program development; update syllabi and collaborate on measurable student performance indicators.
• Revise course content and materials in accordance with new theory and industry developments.
• Attend and participate in committee work and departmental, division, campus, and district meetings; may participate in articulation and matriculation activities.
• Provide direction to other staff as needed and perform related duties as assigned.

• A master’s degree (or academic credential one level higher than a baccalaureate degree) and at least two years of professional experience.

• Active California Dental or Dental Hygiene License or special permit with no disciplinary actions.
• Management and professional experience in a clinical practice as a dentist or Registered Dental Hygienist.
