Vice President Of Student Affairs
Under the direction of the President, the Vice President of Student Affairs serves as the Chief Student Development Officer and is responsible for the overall design, organization, delivery, supervision, evaluation, and fiscal management of a comprehensive student development program charged with promoting and delivering programs and services that enhance student and staff success, achievement, and retention.
The Vice President of Student Affairs has the oversight for functional areas that include:
Admission & Records, Articulation, Student Success Plan, Counseling, Educational Assistance Center (EAC), Transfer/Career Center, Extended Opportunities Programs & Services (EOPS), Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE), CalWORKS, Financial Aid, Student Health Center, International Student Programs, Veterans Affairs, Student Activities, Scholarships, and Outreach and Recruitment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned or focus areas changed as college needs dictate.
This temporary, interim assignment will be located at Ventura College. The assignment will begin during the summer 2026 semester and could go through June 30, 2027. The assignment may be extended if needed. This recruitment will remain open until filled. Initial review of the applicant pool is expected to begin on May 26, 2026. Applications received after this date will be reviewed only if the position remains open.
Established in 1925, Ventura College was one of the first community colleges in California and currently has an annual enrollment of approximately 19,000 students. Located approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara, the 112-acre campus is set in the rolling hills of Ventura – so close to the ocean that there is a clear view of the Channel Islands from several spots on campus.

Develop, implement, direct and evaluate student programs and services in support of student college life. Develop, direct, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the services, programs, personnel, operations, and activities of the division, including programs, analysis and review, to ensure compliance with Education Code, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards if applicable, district policies, and all contractual agreements between the Governing Board and recognized bargaining units.
