Seeking a proven Mid‑Level Electrical Engineer to own power supply designs from initial architecture through production release. This role demands deep analog/power expertise, Altium proficiency, and lab ownership across the full development cycle.
Responsibilities- Drive end‑to‑end development of ruggedized defense power converters from architecture definition through qualified production release
- Partner closely with firmware, mechanical design, and program management to meet stringent program milestones and customer specifications
- Author production schematics, multilayer PCB layouts, assembly drawings, and comprehensive test/validation protocols
- Enhance existing power platforms through schematic modernization, thermal redesign, and qualification re‑certification
- Execute full‑spectrum lab testing including thermal vacuum, vibration profiling, EMI chamber qualification, and high‑reliability burn‑in
- Coach early‑career engineers on schematic capture best practices, PCB stack‑up optimization, and failure mode analysis; represent engineering during customer technical interlocks, proposal briefings, and field support activities
- Champion compliance across MIL‑STD‑461/704, RTCA/DO‑160, and IPC Class 3 standards with zero‑defect execution
- BSEE (or equivalent) with 5+ years hands‑on power electronics design experience
- Expert‑level Altium Designer proficiency including high‑density multilayer boards and impedance‑controlled routing
- Deep analog/mixed‑signal expertise spanning switch‑mode topologies, magnetics design, and thermal management
- Proven track record delivering products through MIL‑STD‑810 environmental qualification and EMI certification
- Lab ownership experience with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, high‑power loads, and automated test equipment
- Clear technical communicator who excels at design reviews, customer interfacing, and documentation authorship
- Systems‑level thinker comfortable bridging power electronics with firmware and mechanical integration challenges
- Bias toward action with demonstrated ability to unblock manufacturing transitions and field deployments
