You will have a strong foundation in component-level analysis, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will take the lead in evaluating electronic and mechanical components, validating manufacturing processes, and conducting detailed failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA). As part of the quality team, you will ensure that every part that goes into our systems meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Perform component risk assessments, including obsolescence, performance variability, and sourcing stability.
  • Lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) efforts in collaboration with design, manufacturing, and reliability engineering teams.
  • Support the process validation activities for new and modified components, processes or suppliers, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports.
  • Support and drive functional safety activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to evaluate the impact of component changes, deviations, and substitutions.
  • Investigate and resolve complex quality issues using tools like 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa/Fishbone diagrams.
  • Lead supplier evaluations and support incoming inspection criteria development for critical components.
  • Monitor key quality metrics (yield, DPPM, failure rate trends) and proactively drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System and support internal and external audits
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Field Service teams.
  • Participate in safety committee activities and promote a culture of risk-based thinking.
  • Additional job duties as required.

Required Qualifications
:

  • Minimum 3-years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or product development environment, preferably involving electronic components.
  • Hands-on experience with FMEA, risk analysis, and process validation.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards and verification methods is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of quality systems including ISO 9001:2015, IPC standards, and component qualification best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP/PLM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Omnify/Empower is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • This is a full-time position located at our Camarillo, CA facility. Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as required.

  • We are ITAR Registered (International-Traffic-In-Arms-Regulations). Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
