Chief Aviation Engineer – Camarillo, CA
Schedule:
M-F 8 AM–5 PM; 40 hrs/wk.
Lead & direct design & certification of customer aircraft according to customer specifications and principles of aeronautics engineering;
Oversee inspection, maintenance, modification, decommission, and certification of Sikorsky S-70 & UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, AW139, Bell 205/212/407/412, & Eurocopter AS350/355;
Direct maintenance & quality control for aircraft engines including GE700, PT6 Series, & Rolls‑Royce 250 Series; QA & compliance:
Implement design quality assurance and inspection programs for aircraft modifications; comply with FAA Part 145 and applicable international aviation standards;
Manage hangar & field operations including maintenance scheduling, parts logistics, technical documentation, certifications, and international export procedures;
Lead and guide engineering teams, including hiring, training, and performance reviews;
Liaise with regulatory authorities, OEMs, suppliers, and customers to ensure effective project execution;
Provide technical guidance to senior management to minimize downtime, maximize return on investment, and conduct long-term strategic planning.
Requirements: 48 months experience as Chief Engineer overseeing maintenance of rotary and fixed‑wing aircraft; FAA A&P certification; required airframe certifications:
Sikorsky UH‑60/S‑70, AW139, Bell 205/212/407 & 412, AS350/355; required engine certifications: GE 700 Series Engine, PT6 Series, Rolls‑Royce 250 Series.
Salary $140,000 USD/year.
