Tune and Test Technician III - Camarillo, CA

Lucix Corporation, a subsidiary of HEICO's Electronic Technologies Group, is a world leader in RF active and passive units, subsystems, and assemblies for commercial, civil, and defense satellite payloads. The company also provides RF hardware for airborne and ground systems. All hardware is designed, qualified, manufactured, tested, and shipped from facilities in California, USA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Test and align RF amplifiers and modules up to 40 GHz
  • Perform environmental tests such as vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, and EMI/EMC tests
  • Conduct tests including 1 dB compression (P‑1), C/IM3, noise figure, PSAT, and harmonics
  • Tune hybrid microwave circuits and modules using wedge bond and gap weld technology
  • Troubleshoot RF amplifiers down to the component level
  • Calculate approximate noise, gain, and power of an amplifier from module data to assess pre‑assembly viability
  • Perform final test procedures
  • Propose ideas to improve efficiency and repeatability for tuning
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
  • AA degree in electronics or equivalent; 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of microwave theory and application
  • General knowledge of materials, processes, and assembly techniques used for high‑integrity hardware, with strong mechanical skills
  • Full understanding of tuning challenges and techniques using hybrid microwave circuits including wedge bond, ball bond, and soldering
  • Familiarity with various test equipment: power meter, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, noise figure meter, vector and digital multimeter
  • Troubleshooting skills and ability to present problem‑solving strategies
  • Ability to read schematics, assembly and wiring diagrams, process and parts specifications, and test procedures
  • Basic computer skills: MS Word, Excel
Pay Range

The estimated pay range for this position is $38.00–$53.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
