Quality Improvement Engineer needed in Camarillo
Job DescriptionThe Quality Improvement Engineer, is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, efficiency, and process stability across manufacturing operations. Lead initiatives to improve yield, reduce scrap rework, and enhance process capability CpCpk. Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, loss drivers, and improvement opportunities. Conduct failure analysis and structured root cause investigations 8D, 5-Why, PDCA. Implement and validate corrective and preventive actions CAPA.
Develop and sustain process controls to prevent recurrence and ensure stability. Support MRB activities, including troubleshooting non-conforming material and determining risk-based dispositions. Provide technical guidance on drawings, specifications, and measurement systems. Support incoming inspection for critical raw materials. Assist in resolving internal quality issues impacting production. Support RMA investigations and customer-related quality issues. Assist in resolving supplier quality issues impacting production or customers.
Participate in internal and external audits ISO
9001, AS9100, ISO
14001 and support audit readiness. Collaborate cross-functionally to implement process improvements and ensure alignment between procedures and shop-floor execution. Support updates to procedures, work instructions, and related training. BA in Engineering or similar field. 5+ yrs of exp in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Continuous Improvement. Proficient in MS Office Suite 365 and Adobe Acrobat. ITAR Compliant.
Skills PreferredExp in electronics or ceramic manufacturing. Certified Quality Engineer CQE from the American Society of Quality ASQ. Exp in military, medical or aerospace. Bilingual in Spanish.
