Responsibilities
- Design, develop and validate mechanical components and assemblies, including rotating machinery, with proficiency in solid modeling and mechanical simulation using Solid Works, with a strong understanding of stress analysis.
- Conduct and interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure mechanical robustness and performance.
- Create manufacturing drawings applying GD&T principles; develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) in partnership with internal and external manufacturing teams.
- Lead root cause investigations for product or process failures and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate production launches for both new and revised products, requiring strong electromechanical fabrication and assembly skills.
- Experience with manual and CNC machine tools.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (AS9100).
- Collaborate effectively with cross-0functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
