At Teledyne, our infrared sensing technologies are helping shape the future, from enabling discoveries with the James Webb Space Telescope to supporting critical climate research initiatives. As a Facilities Engineer, you will play an important role in maintaining and improving the infrastructure, utilities, and facility systems that support our innovative operations. You will work closely with maintenance teams, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver projects that enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead facility and infrastructure improvement projects from concept through completion.
  • Plan and implement equipment, utility, and facility upgrades.
  • Implement and execute project scopes, schedules, budgets, and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Develop work instructions, standard operating procedures, and preventive maintenance documentation.
  • Support facility and utility systems in compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Drive improvements in facility reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance.
  • Partner with maintenance, engineering, operations, and Environmental Health and Safety teams on strategic initiatives.

What You Need

  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills – required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities – required
  • Experience in facility engineering, building operations, infrastructure, or capital projects – required
  • Ability to create and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation – required
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD – required
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers – required
  • Experience with facility trades, preventive maintenance programs, technical procedures, or Microsoft Project – preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related technical discipline – preferred
