Engineering Assistant

Brief Description

We’re looking for a tech-curious, hands-on Engineering Assistant to support our Engineering technicians. Reporting directly to the Engineering Department Manager, this role will ensure that our sites, equipment, technology and maintenance programs are designed and operated efficiently and consistently, while supporting the Engineering Department.

The Engineering Assistant will work directly with our Engineers and Technicians across all departments.

What you’ll do:

• Create and modify 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, layout, and schematics using CAD software like AutoCAD or Solid Works
• Perform basic engineering computations, including load, energy efficiency, and heat transfer calculation
• Help set up equipment SOPs, repair and maintenance procedures
• Maintain project files, prepare cost estimates, and compile data for technical reports
• Conduct facility specific surveys to improve overall design functionality

• Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• Proficiency in computer-aided design tools (like AutoCAD or Solid Works) and data analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
• High accuracy when reading specifications, recording data, and evaluating data

• Strong communicator and collaborator, with the ability to build trust across teams.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, HVAC, and fluid systems.
• Hands-on experience with CAD programs and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware or equipment malfunctions under supervision.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
