Overview
Location:
On-site in Ventura County, CA. Must have 5-7 years in a mortgage loan servicing supervisory role for a financial institution.
We are seeking an experienced mortgage servicing professional to join a collaborative and growing organization as a Manager, Mortgage Loan Servicing. This role will support escrow administration, investor servicing, insurance and tax processes, compliance functions, and year-end reporting activities within the mortgage servicing department. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on mortgage servicing experience along with a solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting the industry.
Depending on experience, this role may be considered at the Senior Analyst or Manager level.
- Administer and oversee escrow accounts, tax payments, and insurance coverage
- Manage insurance exceptions, force-placed insurance, and loss draft disbursements
- Prepare payoff statements and respond to escrow/title company requests
- Support investor and participation servicing activities, reconciliations, and wire processing
- Assist with year-end servicing functions including IRS Form 1098 reporting
- Research and resolve servicing discrepancies and exceptions
- Support audits, examinations, and compliance-related activities
- Partner with Accounting, Lending, Compliance, Risk, and HR teams to support operational effectiveness
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and regulatory updates
- Provide guidance and support to servicing staff as needed
- Minimum 5 years of mortgage servicing experience required
- Strong knowledge of escrow, insurance, tax administration, and investor servicing
- Experience with mortgage servicing regulations and compliance standards
- Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and loan participation servicing preferred
- Experience with FICS, Cotality, Mortgage Servicer, and SWBC preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Ability to register as an MLO through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) required
