Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Product Compliance Manager to serve as the single point of accountability for regulatory compliance, quality systems, claims substantiation, and new product material review across a dietary supplement portfolio. This role ensures all products—from concept through post-launch—meet FDA, FTC, and internal quality standards while coordinating external scientific, regulatory, and formulation consultants.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and experienced in dietary supplement regulations, sourcing, product testing, and cross-functional project management.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Own FDA and FTC compliance for all dietary supplement products
Manage outside consultants for compliance and new product development
Ensure all product claims are properly substantiated and defensible
Serve as the internal authority on regulatory accuracy
Maintain and update product documentation, including formulas, specifications, COAs, stability data, and master manufacturing records
Maintain and govern the claims and scientific substantiation library
Identify substantiation gaps and prioritize remediation
Coordinate with external scientific writers and regulatory consultants
Approve or reject claims for use in labels and marketing in collaboration with outside consultants
Oversee third-party labs for raw material and finished product testing (identity, purity, potency, microbiological testing)
Develop and maintain testing protocols, sampling plans, and quality standards
Review and interpret test results, investigate deviations, and coordinate corrective actions with contract manufacturers
Partner with Supply Chain on execution while retaining governance authority
Partner with R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to support new product development from concept to launch
Evaluate ingredient compliance, regulatory risks, and formulation feasibility
Coordinate stability studies, testing plans, and documentation required for commercialization
Ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and labeling requirements prior to launch
Manage relationships with testing labs, regulatory consultants, and compliance partners
Negotiate service agreements and monitor vendor performance
Stay current on regulatory changes and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
Required
3–7 years of experience in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or related regulated industries
Strong working knowledge of FDA and FTC regulations for dietary supplements
Experience managing claims substantiation and label compliance
Experience working with contract manufacturers and third-party testing labs
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs, or related field
Experience with new product development processes
Familiarity with international regulatory requirements (Health Canada, EU)
Experience with Net Suite, , or similar systems
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Collaborative mindset with strong vendor management skills
Problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
Comfortable interpreting scientific data and regulatory language
