Overview
Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for an IT Systems Specialist. The role is a pivotal member of the IT Team, with the primary responsibility of delivering technical support to end users. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of hardware and software issues, leveraging IT skills to support Johanson Technology employees and systems.
JTI has over thirty years of experience specializing in the design, manufacture and sales of high‑quality Power and RF ceramic chip capacitors, inductors, and Integrated Passive Components for the global electronics market.
Hourly Rate (Non‑Exempt)$26.00 – $31.00 per hour (DOE)
Work Schedule (Monday‑Friday)8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least two (2) years of IT support in an environment that uses Microsoft 365, including troubleshooting Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- At least two (2) years of experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and replacing computer hardware components.
- At least one (1) year of experience configuring networked devices for a TCP/IP network.
- At least one (1) year of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
- Experience configuring apps and working with advanced settings on smartphone operating systems such as iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in documenting support activities, incident reports, and solutions for future reference.
Education and Experience
- An Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Knowledge of data backup and recovery procedures, including familiarity with backup software, data restoration, and best practices for backing up different types of data.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Power Shell and Python for automating routine IT tasks.
- Possession of relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (Exam MS‑900), and Microsoft Certified:
Identity and Access Administrator Associate (Exam SC‑300). - Experience configuring and deploying Avaya VOIP desk phones.
- Experience supporting IT equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish.
- Manage Microsoft Entra and groups, Exchange Online mailboxes, and SharePoint site permissions.
- Assist senior IT administrators with purchases, updates, backups, troubleshooting, and server maintenance.
- Follow IT documentation and procedures to ensure accurate task completion.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly duties including backup validation and helpdesk ticket resolution.
- Support IT service rollouts, decommissioning projects, and infrastructure changes.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including printers, VOIP phones, and managed switches.
- Deploy ethernet cabling from patch panels to wall mounts and networked devices.
- Configure VPN client software and provide remote user support.
- Coordinate with HR and department managers on employee onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
- Manage helpdesk tickets to completion and elevate issues when necessary.
- Configure and troubleshoot Android and iOS mobile devices.
- Setup, configure, and maintain workstations while tracking IT asset inventory.
- Contribute to IT documentation, inventory, and user training materials using Hudu, Microsoft 365, and Teams.
- Diagnose and maintain factory machine computers, including legacy Windows systems (95, 98, NT, 2000).
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Perform tasks while sitting, using hands, and talking or hearing.
- Frequently use hands and arms to reach; occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently or up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Require visual abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Possess communication skills, including persuasiveness or assertiveness and sensitivity to others’ viewpoints.
- Handle a wide range of tasks with variable demands and changing conditions.
- Plan work assignments and schedule to meet long‑term goals and objectives.

This position requires confidentiality. The company has many non‑disclosure agreements with customers requiring confidentiality and may work with ITAR‑controlled documents. Therefore, U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
