Job Title
Sets up equipment, prepares compounds, and processes a variety of assemblies such as standard and special connectors following written and verbal instructions.
Responsibilities- Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping, and contact hooding.
- Weigh, mix, and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds, and potting materials.
- Interface with customers if necessary, follow intermediate drawings/procedures, and perform connector assemblies.
- Perform work with limited to no supervision, train and assist Assembler 1s.
- Manually/machine load retainers, bond inserts and seals, and assemble/bond EMI rings to connector shells per work order instructions.
- Apply identification stamping and paint components/contacts.
- Work in a safe manner, maintain a clean workspace, and stage materials for shipment.
- Prepare single/shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts, terminate simple cables to connectors, and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations.
- Ability to read, follow, and understand verbal instructions, product/process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
- Ability to use calculators.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components/assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting; use hand tools.
- Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown.
- Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates residing within 50 miles of Camarillo will be considered.
- This position requires access to information/hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), requiring applicants to be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, Asylee, or Refugee).
