Eaton’s IS AER ITD Aerospace Interconnects division is currently seeking a Material / Production Planner. The expected annual salary range for this role is $82,000 - $100,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Location:
On-site at Camarillo, CA facility. Typical work hours are 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
- The Material / Production Planner will generate, maintain and follow-up production schedules of the assigned area, based on customer demand, shortages, lead time, capacity and other internal targets and considerations, ensuring the supply of components to the customer, whether internal or external, on quantity & on time.
- Lead actions and follow-up meetings with different departments to ensure KPI targets (Service, Quality, Safety, Inventory, Flex Productivity) are met.
- Analyze capacity by area, line, machine and product based on demand.
- Generate work orders and release them to the shop floor according to production plan.
- Generate action plans and follow-up focused on achieving results (Close Actions).
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Ensure production plan meets internal targets.
- Ensure demand management and forecasting for successful business model.
- Co-lead HPWT to ensure internal targets are met.
- Propose improvements and create systems for an effective production plan.
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials constraints; work with operations on assignment of direct manpower and other staff to production operations.
- Schedule shifts according to production schedule needs and constraints.
- Monitor work orders to ensure they are completed on time.
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
- Collaborate with production, tool room, purchasing, OPEX, quality control, warehouse and other staff to achieve results.
- Work according to Leader Standard Work (LSW).
- Maintain stock levels within target and ensure KPI targets for the assigned area.
- Level production based on constraints to meet customer expectations and follow up on quality, manpower and other issues to meet targets.
- Weekly re-scheduling of past due orders per capacity and constraints.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- 1+ years of experience in supply chain or production planning/manufacturing related role.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to ITAR. All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
- ITAR compliance and ability to work in a role that may involve sensitive information.
- Must be able to work with other personnel in a team environment, identify and solve problems, and help define and implement process improvements.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing-related planning and coordination.
- Demand and Capacity Planning experience; SAP-ERP knowledge;
Inventory Management knowledge; APICS Certification; MRP and planning parameters knowledge.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.

Inventory Management; APICS Certification; MRP parameters. - Proficiency in MS Office and analytical, detail-oriented skills; strong communication and customer service aptitude.
- Counts and moves parts, performs put-aways and issues both physically and in the computer system.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs; ability to load/unload materials using bending, reaching, and twisting motions.
