The Post-Harvest Planning Coordinator at Glass House Farms is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and optimizing post-harvest workflows to ensure efficient movement of cannabis through drying, bucking, pre-trim, and final trimming stages.
This role plays a critical part in maximizing yield quality, meeting production targets, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
POST-HARVEST PLANNING & SCHEDULING- Develop and maintain detailed post-harvest production schedules for drying, bucking, pre-trim, and final trimming operations.
- Coordinate harvest intake plans with cultivation teams to ensure smooth transitions into post-harvest.
- Balance labor, equipment, and space capacity across all post-harvest stages to avoid bottlenecks.
- Adjust schedules in real time based on harvest volume, product prioritization, and operational constraints.
- Collaborate closely with post-harvest supervisors to execute daily and weekly production plans.
- Ensure proper sequencing of drying rooms, bucking lines, pre-trim workflows, and final trim output.
- Track work-in-progress (WIP) inventory throughout all post-harvest phases.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate production data in seed-to-sale and internal planning systems.
- Monitor KPIs such as cycle time, yields, labor efficiency, and throughput.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly post-harvest planning reports.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to capacity and production planning.
- Ensure all post-harvest planning aligns with state and local cannabis regulations.
- Support quality standards related to drying parameters, trim specifications, and product handling.
- Work with Quality and Compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and traceability.
- Act as a liaison between Cultivation, Post-Harvest, Manufacturing, and Sales Forecasting teams.
- Support demand planning by aligning post-harvest output with forecasted sales needs.
- Participate in planning meetings and provide insights on capacity and resource requirements.
- Use required PPE per OSHA regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned

2–4 years of experience in production planning, operations coordination, or supply chain roles (cannabis, agriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred).
- Strong understanding of post-harvest cannabis processes, including drying, bucking, pre-trim, and final trimming.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, production planning tools, and ERP (SAP) systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
- Experience working in a large‑scale cannabis cultivation or post‑harvest facility.
- Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or advanced planning systems- SAP.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Bilingual Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years full‑time inventory control experience.
- Minimum 2 years full‑time experience in Warehouse Shipping & Receiving.
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Bilingual preferred
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Authorized to work in the United States
- This position requires a 40‑hour minimum work week
- Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.
