• Prepare and pass medication for residents as ordered by a physician.
• Report any medication errors, side effects or problems to supervisor or physician.
• Document administration or refusal of medication in required format and style.
• Maintain documentation and communication log in accordance with required procedures, using electronic system when appropriate.
• Reorder medications as needed following appropriate protocols.
• Ensure delivery, ordering, re‑ordering, storage, documentation, and destruction of medications in compliance with medication policies and procedures.
• Ensure medication is available when needed through on‑time refills.
• Order labs as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Working experience with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
• Six months or more in long‑term care, home care or related field, preferred.
• Successful completion of a Med Tech Training program and Medication Aide/Medication Tech certification in the state, as required.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and other pre‑employment testing as required by state (may include fingerprinting and/or pre‑employment physical).
