The Lab Analyst II, under general supervision, performs intermediate to advanced laboratory testing related to pharmaceutical filtration and analytical evaluation. This role includes executing filterability, compatibility, characterization, and integrity studies, as well as conducting analytical techniques. The Lab Analyst II also assists in SOP development, data analysis, report preparation, and laboratory maintenance. Additionally, the role supports inventory control, equipment upkeep, and provides training and technical guidance toLab Analyst I staff, ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.

• Analyze data and assist with the preparation of detailed reports. Perform preliminary data review and flag inconsistencies for senior staff.
• Perform filter sizing tests (filterability studies) with different pharmaceutical solutions.
• Perform filter compatibility studies with different pharmaceutical solutions.
• Perform filter characterization studies such as flow rates in air or water.
• Perform filter integrity tests on discs, capsules, and cartridges.
• Perform the following: TOC (Total Organic Carbon) analysis, FT-IR film lot release, and analysis using the Keyence digital microscope.
• Contribute to the development, revision, and maintenance of SOPs using technical knowledge and process insights. Manage inventory and initiate purchase requests for lab supplies as needed. Maintain and review laboratory documentation for accuracy and compliance with SOPs.
• Operate and troubleshoot standard lab equipment.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Support lab cleanliness through daily housekeeping tasks and basic hazardous waste handling.
• Train and provide technical support to Associate Scientist I staff.
• Ensure that daily and weekly laboratory logs are completed.

• Bachelor's degree (BS) in chemistry, or related subject required.
  3+ years of hands-on experience in a lab setting (academic, industry, or research lab) required.
• Proficient English Language written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
• Organized and have a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with MS Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe.
