Eaton’s IS AER ITD Aerospace Interconnect division is currently seeking an Inspection Supervisor – 1st Shift – Aerospace MFG.
Location:
Camarillo, CA. Shift: 1st Shift. Salary Range: $99,000 – $125,000 per year.
This position requires working on‑site, Monday through Friday, at our Camarillo, CA location. Relocation is not available.
What you’ll do:Primary Function: Reporting to the Site Quality Leadership, this position directs the Quality Control function. The role provides leadership, mentoring, evaluation, and development of the Quality Inspectors; establishes and maintains robust process controls and improvement programs related to suppliers, receiving inspection, in‑process inspection, final inspection, and quality assurance. The supervisor also facilitates problem‑solving, ensures coordination and communication of corrective and preventive actions, and assists the quality manager in system development and maintenance.
Additionally, the supervisor coordinates with Quality Engineering to support customer satisfaction, supplier performance programs, corrective action, and quality initiatives. The incumbent encourages employee participation, implements employee recognition, and promotes a positive, company‑oriented attitude toward quality assurance and reliability of Eaton Aerospace products.
- Develop, implement, and monitor performance against short‑ and long‑term plans to achieve quality control objectives.
- Implement short‑ and long‑term plans related to quality assurance.
- Identify needs and develop the quality control department.
- Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics, and processes to achieve quality and on‑time delivery goals.
- Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality.
- Select and develop competent inspectors and auditors to ensure quality goals are achieved.
- Provide reports as required and drive corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion.
- Assist as required in all quality assurance functions as necessary.
- Assure effective communication and reporting to customers.
- Assure compliance with the control phase of quality systems and initiatives such as internal auditing, statistical process control, and testing.
- Support the development and utilization of quality feedback tools to maintain and implement lessons learned.
- Support the achievement of Business Operating System quality goals and objectives, as identified by the Quality Leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma with at least 10 years of experience, 5 years with an AS accredited degree, or 2 years with a 4‑year degree.
- Minimum 2 years of leading projects or direct supervisory people management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control/assurance function related to factory inspection, calibration, or similar functions.

Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of supervisory people management.
- Experience with hydraulics and electro‑mechanical applications.
- ASQ CQE, CQM, CQA certifications.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Experience in a high‑mix/low‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience in an AS9100D manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of practical inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of FAA standards and reporting is a plus.
- Working knowledge of SAP for MRP applications.
- Experience with Enovia or a similar product lifecycle management tool.
- Experience with AS9100, AS9102.
- Experience with Material Review Board and Corrective Action Board functions.
- Experience working with continuous improvement and problem‑solving tools including root‑cause corrective action, failure analysis, 8D charts, and process flow diagrams.
