Electronics Test Technician
This role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, and assembling electronic and electromechanical products at the board and unit level. You will perform visual inspections, execute test procedures using electronic test equipment, document results in the ERP system, and support root cause investigations to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of populated and unpopulated printed circuit boards (PCBs) prior to testing to verify workmanship and readiness.
- Conduct board-level testing, including firmware loading, functional verification, and basic troubleshooting in accordance with established test procedures.
- Use electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and other production test equipment to verify product performance.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and report findings to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams as required.
- Assist with root cause investigations of recurring product failures when requested, providing detailed observations and test data.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate production units following established procedures
- Perform mechanical and precision mechanical/optical assembly tasks as required to support production schedules.
- Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, manufacturing orders, assembly drawings, and basic electronic schematics.
- Perform inspections to verify that products conform to quality standards and specifications.
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming products or recurring process issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Update production routing and test transactions within the ERP system to ensure accurate production and test records.
- Learn company products, test procedures, calibration methods
- Keep the test area organized, clean, and free from foreign object damage (FOD) to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camarillo, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
