Location: Camarillo, California

Job Summary

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for building operations and working with vendors on maintenance of a variety of systems including electrical, HVAC, waste removal, compressed air and gases, water, plumbing, building automation, life safety, and participation in compliance and quality assurance requirements. Partnership and teamwork with internal departments and external vendors are required.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and execute recurring preventive maintenance on various facilities systems
  • Troubleshoot issues and repair facilities equipment using mechanical and electronic skills
  • Create and maintain equipment procedures and documentation; record maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting in checklists and internal shared drive
  • Work with and oversee vendors, contractors, and suppliers as needed
  • Request bids and prepare requisitions for contractors
  • Waste Management and treatment of hazardous materials
  • Landscape maintenance and sprinkler system repair
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing time and budget
  • Ability to comfortably work around and handle chemicals safely
  • Strong safety mindset, not only in work practice but also in identifying possible issues
  • Must work well with employees at all levels
  • Work hours may be based on facilities and business needs, including skewed schedules with work on weekends and holidays as required
  • Problem solving and ability to address root causes of facilities issues, including basic data extraction, analysis, and reporting
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation such as installation instructions, technical drawings, maps, plumbing and electrical schematics, panel schedules, datasheets, and manuals
  • Minimum 5 years of facility-related experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Certificate in plumbing, electrical, or hazardous waste disposal
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive forklift, scissor lift, or other heavy machinery
  • Ability to pick up a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Comfortable on ladders, roofs, heights, and tight spaces

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $25 – $36/hr several factors are taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
