Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Camarillo facility! The core hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Overtime may extend these hours. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. WhatYou’ll Do
- The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment, and ongoing maintenance of industrial production equipment, facilities systems, and pipeline distribution systems. You’ll work independently, applying sound mechanical judgment to keep operations moving and downtime to a minimum.
- Support and comply with Eaton Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems with little to no supervision.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and planned shutdown work to improve equipment reliability.
- Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities but not limited to painting, drywall, parking lots, plumbing repairs, lighting, flooring, and roof.
- Perform basic electrical work (120V) and support higher‑voltage systems as qualified.
- Operate maintenance work order system to complete assignments and provide feedback.
- Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Assist with motor control, starters, and basic troubleshooting of electrical components.
- Perform welding and metal repair to restore or improve equipment.

Qualifications- Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance (mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical).
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Camarillo, CA (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
- This position requires access to export‑controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
- Experience with 480V 3‑phase systems, motor controls, and VFDs.
- Familiarity with power distribution systems up to 600V.
- Experience with emergency power or process control systems.
- Experience in performing power system analysis, short circuit and load flow studies. Familiarity with process control systems and emergency power systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of municipal electrical code applicable to installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including parameter setup, fault diagnostics, and motor performance issues.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), including basic ladder logic interpretation, I/O troubleshooting, sensor, switch, and interlock diagnostics.
- Trade or technical school certificate or equivalent preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Good mechanical aptitude with knowledge of practices, tools and equipment used in mechanic’s trade.
- Knowledge of procedures for installing all sizes of electrical conduit, cables, wires, switches, automatic stating equipment, and pole line construction, etc.
