The Construction Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects. This role is great for early‑career professionals with a minimum of 1 year construction experience who possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and have a bachelor’s degree in construction management. The Project Engineer provides technical and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Project Manager with pre‑construction, construction, and closeout activities.
- Prepare and distribute plans and specs.
- Handle all permitting requests, payment, and closeouts.
- Support field foremen requests.
- Issue and organize RFI’s, track submittals, and manage meeting minutes.
- Assemble closeout documentation and as-builts.
- Coordinate and participate in project site walks.
- Assist in coordinating BIM and layout information for field teams.
- Learn how to read plans and specs.
- Become proficient in basics of mechanical systems.
- Support project scheduling efforts, including developing and updating project timelines.
- Assist with safety documentation, progress tracking, punch list resolution, and commissioning support.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field required
- Experience in construction industry as PE or related role preferred
- Proficient in software applications including MS 365 (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, and Procore preferred
- Excellent time management and administrative skills
- Highly organized and meticulous

- Solid understanding of mechanical systems
- Ability to build relationships and work with diverse personalities
