Catholic Kindergarten Teacher

We are seeking a part‑time Kindergarten Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 14 hours per week during the 2026‑27 academic year at the center near Portland, Oregon, in Camas, Washington.

Regina Caeli Academy is a national organization that offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting. The position is hourly and includes childcare/nursery for children up to two years old. The role does not require a teaching certificate or formal teaching experience; on‑the‑job training will be provided.

Part‑time, up to 14 hours per week. Center hours are Mondays and Thursdays 8:45 am – 3:15 pm.

• No teaching certification or formal experience required.
• Experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, or ministry within a Catholic parish is preferred.
• Teaching background in religious education, catechism, or a classical/private school is advantageous but not required.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and punctuality.
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day‑to‑day, having received all appropriate sacraments.
• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• All candidates must successfully complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.

• Required staff training on August 11, 12, and 13, 2026.
• Additional context and curriculum materials will be provided.
• Training also includes classroom management and grading guidelines.

All employees at Regina Caeli are required to have a clear background check. No additional vacation days are given beyond accommodations for sick leave as needed.
