Duties- Perform geotechnical investigation.
- Perform geologic hazard assessment.
- Perform construction observation and testing.
- Perform geotechnical laboratory testing.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Planning, scheduling, and conducting field investigations and laboratory testing.
- Data collection, data management, and record‑keeping, including calibrating laboratory and field equipment.
- Prepare written reports and perform engineering analyses, applying analytical skills and technical knowledge of the principles of soil mechanics.
Responsibilities and compensation will align with experience and certifications.
Education / QualificationCandidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related fields (with geotechnical engineering and/or engineering geology coursework).
Certifications / LicensesPreferred certifications (examples – not all are required):
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
- ICC Reinforced Concrete
- Nuclear Density Gauge
Candidates are not required to hold all listed certifications. Certerra supports certification attainment, and ongoing professional development for motivated team members.
